A satellite television transmission involves:
• Transmission station (TX) also called earth station or up link.
• Satellite which is also called space segment or satellite segment.
• Receiving Station (RX) also called TVRO
• Supporting teams in the TX such as cameras, microphones, etc. (Production)
• Supporting teams in RX such as screens, sound, etc.

TV Prensa S.A. gives service about all or part of what is involved in a television transmission by satellite.

TX Reception:
It is fixed when conducted in the facilities of the company (teleport) or it is done through the mobile when using TVRO antennas which are installed on the site where the transmission is done. Later they are withdrawn when the event ends.

Segment:
We have a segment hired permanently in the satellite NSS 806, C-band, and we have agreements with satellite networks used in Colombia, which allow us to use it for ourselves or for our customers. This Satellite segment is to be used for certain spaces of time.

Teleconference:
It is a service provided by TV Prensa for teleconferencing with digital television signal through the use of a satellite segment and receiving antennas in the halls where the groups, objective of the transmission, are gathered.

Production:
Switcher Broadcast Pix with the following applications:
• 8 entries: Four analog and four digital.
• Hard disk storage for video clips with a 2-hour lasting and a broadcast quality.
• Character Generator, Inscriber.
• Image Storage Capacity, Still Store.
• Logos Generator.
• Robotic Command for Cameras, with memory storage of 12 planes for each camera.
• Ability to generate 3 Keys, which are independent from the Character Generator Key
• Chrome Key
• Monitors for cameras, video clips, VTR's, PVW and PGM.

Cameras:
• 3 professional cameras Hitachi with 800 lines of resolution, operated by components or standard definition.
• 3 Professional Fujinon Lenses, 16x.
• 3 Robots with movement: pan, tilt, zoom, focus and adjustment of iris for camera.

• 3 Multi- input plugs for robots in study
